Some places just have it. The moment I arrived at Château du Boulay Morin, I knew it was more than just a historic venue—it was a cinematic experience. Built in 1695 for Madame de Maintenon, this estate is a rare gem where French heritage meets quiet luxury.
For this editorial, I wanted to move away from the « expected » and chase something more alive: a blend of high-fashion aesthetics and the spontaneous soul of a real story. As recently featured in Albe Editions, this project was all about exploring the contrast between delicate emotions and a bold, contemporary approach.
Playing with Movement and Fashion Codes
Working with Calixte and Martin was a revelation. Their energy and « playful » spirit allowed me to push the boundaries of traditional wedding photography. Instead of static poses, I focused on the « unfiltered » energy of the couple.
I leaned into artistic motion blur to translate the electric feeling of the moment, using dynamic framing inspired by fashion editorials to give the story a sharp, modern edge. It was all about the natural flow—letting the dress move and the laughter be loud—ensuring the images feel powerful and refined, but never stiff.
Why Château du Boulay Morin is the Ultimate Destination Venue
Located in Normandy, just a short drive from Paris, the château offers an incredible balance for couples planning a destination wedding in France.
The light here hits differently—it’s soft, romantic, and perfectly suited for an editorial photography style. Whether it’s the vibrant autumn colors in the French gardens or the sophisticated interiors, the Boulay Morin provides a backdrop that naturally elevates every frame. It’s the perfect playground for couples who want their wedding to feel like an iconic visual legacy.
Capturing Personalities, Not Just Poses
My approach to wedding photography is deeply personal. The goal is to capture your vision with an editorial, yet honest eye. I believe that imagery should not only document a day but capture an atmosphere that will never exist again.
Whether we are shooting in a grand ballroom or running through the gardens, I’m looking for the « real stuff », the spontaneous, the unfiltered, and the genuine energy that makes your story yours.
